Sex Offender Convicted Of Sexual Abuse Reports Move From Jail To Poughkeepsie

A registered sex offender who was convicted of felony sexual offense has reported a move in Dutchess County.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 49-year-old Marisol Soto, who has moved from the Dutchess County Jail to a North Hamilton Street residence in Poughkeepsie.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Soto as a level two threat, which means she is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Soto committed an undisclosed felony sexual assault outside of New York State in February 2001. She was convicted in June the following year and sentenced to a term of between one day and two years in state prison. She is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie City Police Department.
